🌿 Blessing for Rongoā Pain Oil or Wairakau🌿
This blessing is spoken to acknowledge the sacred nature of rongoā and the healing gifts of Papatūānuku. Through intention, gratitude, and aroha, we invite the qualities of healing, mauri, peace, and wellbeing into the oil before it is shared with others.

Karakia/Waiata : Te Inoi a te Ariki
(The Lords Prayer)
Waiata Version
he taro mā mātou mō tēnei rā.
Murua ō mātou hara,
Me mātou hoki e muru nei
i ō te hunga e hara ana ki a mātou.
Aua hoki mātou e kawea kia whakawaia;
Engari whakaorangia mātou i te kino.
Nōu hoki te rangatiratanga,
te kaha, me te korōria,
Āke, āke, āke.
Āmine.
Purpose: A prayer of faith, surrender, guidance, provision, forgiveness, and relationship with Atua.
Karakia Whakamutunga / Waiata Whakamoemiti
Karakia: He Hōnore (Waiata Version)
He hōnore, he korōria

Āmine.
A song of praise, thanksgiving, honour, and glorification of Atua
Listen to the Karakia.
Read along with the captions.
Repeat the words aloud.
Practise regularly until the flow becomes natural.
Speak from the heart rather than striving for perfection.
That reinforces confidence for those who may feel nervous about pronunciation.
